SharePoint Intranets for associations
I design and build SharePoint intranets for associations and non-profits, practical, well-structured systems that help small teams work better online, without the licensing and consulting overhead of a large-scale implementation partner.

What I do
Intranet Design & Build
Building an intranet from scratch: site structure, document libraries, permissions and navigation designed around how your team actually works, not a generic template.
Migration & Consolidation
Bringing scattered file shares, shared drives, and disconnected tools into a single, properly structured SharePoint environment.
Ongoing Support & Training
Once it's live, teams need to know how to use it. Training, documentation, and ongoing support so the system keeps working as your association changes.
Built & Proven at ALIA
While serving as IT Manager at the Australian Library and Information Association, I designed and built an intranet spanning 30 connected SharePoint sites, replacing a patchwork of file shares and disconnected tools. Built in-house rather than outsourced to an implementation partner, saving the association an estimated $50,000 in implementation costs.
See the Approach today
A self-built demo environment showing how I structure a SharePoint intranet now: site hierarchy, navigation, and document organisation, the same thinking behind the ALIA build, applied fresh.
Four step process
Discovery
Understanding your current systems, file structures, and how your team actually works day to day.
Design & Build
Site structure, document libraries, permissions and navigation built out properly from the start.
Migration
Moving existing content and files across without losing anything or breaking what already works.
Training & Support
Making sure your team knows how to use it, with support available as things change.
Common Questions
Do you build SharePoint intranets from scratch, or just fix existing ones?
Both. Some clients need a full build, others need an existing SharePoint environment that's grown messy over time properly restructured.
How is this different from a large SharePoint implementation partner?
No licensing markups, no account management layer, and no oversized process for what's usually a fairly contained project. You work directly with the person doing the build.
Do you provide training for our team?
Yes, training and documentation are part of every build, so the system doesn't depend on me being available for every question.
Do you work with associations outside Canberra?
Yes, consulting is Australia-wide. Photography is the Canberra-based service.
Ready to talk about your Intranet?
Whether it's a new build or an existing SharePoint environment that needs sorting out, start with a conversation.
