About

Canberra-based photographer and digital consultant. No agency, no handoffs, just one person who does good work for organisations that need it done well.

Tired of systems that leave when your staff do?

Ten+ years working almost exclusively with associations, peak bodies and non-profits across Australia. I understand governance, budgets, and how projects need to survive staff turnover, and bring that into every iMIS, WordPress and SharePoint project I take on.

Associations aren't generic businesses

Governance & Volunteer Boards

Associations run on structures most agencies don't encounter elsewhere: elected boards, committees, member votes, and staff who often report to a volunteer president rather than a single decision-maker. Knowing how that works changes how a project gets scoped and signed off, not just how it gets built.

Non-Profit Budget Reality

Membership fees and grant funding don't stretch like corporate IT budgets. I scope projects with that in mind, practical, staged where it helps, and honest about what's actually necessary versus what's nice to have.

Continuity Over Cleverness

Association staff and committees change. A system that only makes sense to the person who built it becomes a liability the day they leave. I document properly, use maintainable platforms, and build things your next staff member can actually pick up.

The Same Sector Focus, Whichever Platform

iMIS

Client-side advocacy through implementations, plus ongoing web content, member journey and communications work for associations running iMIS.

WordPress

Websites built and supported for associations and non-profits that need their web presence to just work, no agency handoffs.

SharePoint

Intranets and internal systems built for how association teams actually work day to day.

Recent build

ALIA National Conference

A dedicated conference website for the Australian Library and Information Association's National 2026 Conference, handling event details, registration status and program information for a national non-profit audience.

We achieved our highest number of conference registrations to date and received outstanding feedback from delegates about the website.

The Organisations I work with

Professional and Member Associations

Membership bodies representing a profession or industry, with the renewal cycles, member portals and communications needs that come with it.

Peak Bodies and Industry Groups

National or state-level organisations representing a sector, often with a small staff team supporting a much larger, more public-facing remit.

Non-Profits and Charities

Mission-driven organisations where budget discipline and volunteer involvement shape how any project needs to be scoped and delivered.

Common Questions

Why does sector experience matter for a web or iMIS project?

Because the constraints are different, governance, budget cycles, and volunteer turnover, and a project scoped without that in mind tends to fall over after launch, not during it.

Do you only work with associations, or other non-profits too?

Associations and peak bodies are the core of the work, but the same approach applies to non-profits and charities more broadly.

What association-specific software have you worked with?

iMIS primarily (CiP-certified), plus TopClass LMS (Certified TopClass Administrator) and OpenWater.

Do you work with associations outside Canberra?

Yes, consulting is Australia-wide. Photography is the Canberra-based service.

Ready to talk about your association's needs?

Whether it's iMIS, your website, your intranet, or all three, start with a conversation about what your organisation actually needs.
